Birds

1.  Call immediately Action for Wildlife at 6979 914852

2.  Find a large (compared to the size of the bird), firm cardboard box.

3.  Ensure that its bottom is stable.

4.  Use a sharp object (for example a pencil, a pair of scissors, or a knife) to cut holes in all four sides of the box.

5. Put newspaper sheets at the bottom of the box and cut some of them in strips.

6.  Cover the bird with a piece of cloth or a towel.

7.  Pay close attention to its claws and beak.

8.  You should ALWAYS cover its head to reduce its stress levels.

9.  Put the bird in the box.

10. Use duct tape to firmly close it.

Transfer the bird to a quiet and warm place until you arrange for its transport to the first aid station of Action for Wildlife.

CAUTION: Do not attempt to feed or water the bird if you do not contact Action for Wildlife first; food or water may worsen its condition and can be fatal!

In addition, do not hold the bird for more time than it is necessary to transport it and put it in the cardboard box.
Finally, do not leave the wild animal with pets (dogs, cats, birds).

Mammals

The rescue and transport of mammals may require careful handling and more instructions. It is therefore necessary to contact our group before taking any action.

In any case, you must not leave a wild animal with pets (dogs, cats, birds).

Reptiles

Action for Wildlife also takes care of reptiles, the majority of which are turtles. You can use a cardboard box to transfer turtles, as you would do with birds. However, if you have found a snake, you must not do that. Contacting us first is always necessary.

We also thank the publishing organization KETHEA "Shape and color" for their prompt service.

You can get them by sending a message to our fb page.
